Elementor Review

My journey into the world of website development has brought its fair share of hits and misses (more misses in my case). However, none is as exciting when you scour WordPress for plugins. It’s like a kid in a candy store. There is a certain allure when you download the plugin for the first time and activating it – not knowing what will happen next and how it will impact your website. There are various standard plugins (it’s relative, depending on the user’s objective) which one will need to install to have a proper functioning website, but the most important one, in my opinion, will be that of the WordPress Page Builder (fair warning – only if you are using WP to build your website). There are tons of page builders out there but Elementor was my numero uno go-to Page Builder plugin. It took away the hours of coding and made creating my website fun. For starters, Elementor is free to use. However if budget is not an issue, I would highly suggest upgrading to Elementor Pro starting from $49 a year. The good people at https://elementor.com came up with 3 pricing variations to meet various web builders’ requirements. If you are a novice website developer like myself, I would recommend opting for the bare minimum package which will cost you $49 per year. It comes with 90+ widgets, 300+ Pro templates, and many more. Armed with an arsenal of widgets that one could click and drag when customising one’s website seamlessly, is just absolutely fabulous! To top it off, if you are not happy with the plugin, you have 30 days to decide if you would like to get a refund as Elementor provides a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee for new purchases.

Instagram

As the development of my website progresses, I thought it would be best to have a social media account to share the photos I have captured through my lens. After much deliberation on a platform to share my photos, the best option would none other be Instagram, which is derived from a linguistic blend of words between instant camera & telegram. Established in 2010 and eventually acquired by Facebook in 2012 for $1B, having one billion registered users in 2019 – setting up an account with IG (its known abbreviation) seems to be no brainer. The result, @Dawired is now on Instagram!
